about lin and jirsa photography
Our Client Service Philosophy
Our photography team is focused on providing you with a full Lin and Jirsa Experience. Our team will start by helping create a custom package that fits your individual needs and desires. We will assist you in planning your wedding day photography by giving you some “best practice” ideas based on our experience. When we shoot your event, we will capture each moment with our artistic vision. Finally, we will deliver you an artistic product worthy of the Lin and Jirsa name.
In the end, our philosophy on client service creates wonderful friendships with each and every one of our clients that goes far beyond the day of your wedding. We pride ourselves on always being available to our client/friends, so if you have any questions or would like to reach your master photographer, please visit our Contact Us page for email addresses and phone numbers of each photographer.

The Original Team (Master Photographers)
The original, founding Lin and Jirsa Wedding Photography team is composed of three master wedding photographers, Pye Jirsa, Justin Lin and Chris Lin. The three teamed up to create a Los Angeles and Orange County based wedding photography studio that encompassed their unique style of fashion and fine-art influenced wedding photojournalism, their high standards of quality and creativity, and their philosophy on client service. We should also mention that between our three master wedding photographers we also speak Chinese/Mandarin, Cantonese and Taiwanese.

Associate Photography Team
The Associate Photography team is led by Joseph and Matthew, long time second shooters for LJP. Tim, Maria, and Summer are second shooters for both the Master photographers and for the Associate photographers. Throughout their years with Lin and Jirsa, they’ve developed a similar style and approach for wedding photography, using the same techniques, equipment, lighting styles, post production, and client service. At the same time, they added their own flare, creating a truly exceptional product. Their work can be seen throughout the main blog in their second shooting role and on their own Associates blog (click here) for the Associate Weddings.

Our Wedding Photography Philosophy
We believe that in hiring a professional wedding photographer, clients deserve a professional that is able to use his or her technological expertise and creative vision to create a product that clients and amateur photographers could not on their own. With digital SLR cameras becoming more and more affordable, there are many amateur photographers out there posing as professionals. Our goal is to educate our clients on the differences and provide artistic imagery that even far surpasses other top knotch wedding photography studios.
Therefore, our wedding photography philosophy has three primary parts as follows:
- Wedding photographers are artists and therefore must have a deep understanding of artistic theory including concepts on composition, lighting, color, design, balance, etc.
- Wedding photographers should be using professional grade camera and lighting equipment.
- Wedding photographers are constantly in unusual lighting situations with significant time constraints, thus wedding photographers must be masters of their equipment. Being able to quickly adjust camera settings, anticipate lenses needed for each scene, use on and off-camera lighting techniques, etc are crucial to being able to consistantly create a professional product.
