The Lin and Jirsa Wedding Photography Studio
Recently awarded Orange County’s Best Wedding Photographer of 2009 by MyFox LA, Lin and Jirsa Wedding Photography is composed of three master wedding photographers, Pye Jirsa, Justin Lin and Chris Lin. The three teamed up to create a Los Angeles and Orange County based wedding photography studio that encompassed their unique style of fashion and fine-art influenced wedding photojournalism, their high standards of quality and creativity, and their philosophy on client service.
All three master wedding photographers have professionally studied and trained under some of the world’s best wedding photographers. Throughout their wedding photography experience, in Southern California and abroad, Pye, Justin and Chris meticulously studied and developed a unique philosophy and framework for consistently creating emotional and moving imagery. We should also mention that between our three master wedding photographers we also speak Chinese/Mandarin, Cantonese and Taiwanese.

In recent years, destination weddings have become more and more popular. While Lin and Jirsa Wedding Photography is based out of Los Angeles and Orange County, we serve clients all around the world. Most of the time, you can catch at least one of the master photographers in San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, Orange County or San Diego.
However, wedding photography frequently takes us all over the United States, as well as the world. In fact, recently our master photographers have returned from shooting weddings in China, Mexico, Taiwan and Canada. Each of our master wedding photographers is also talented in languages and is fluent in the following languages: Pye Jirsa (English, Cantonese, and Mandarin), Justin Lin (English, Mandarin, and Taiwanese), Chris Lin (English, Taiwanese). So whether you need a Mandarin-speaking photographer, Taiwanese-speaking photographer, or Cantonese-speaking photographer, Lin and Jirsa wedding photography can meet your needs.

Our Photography Experience
The master photography team (Pye, Justin and Chris) have trained under and apprenticed with several world class wedding photojournalists. While we have become quite busy after opening our own studio, when we are available we still shoot with our mentors, such as John Solano, as second photographers.
The master photographers are required to spend 5-10 hours each week in studying wedding photography and more importantly, wedding photojournalism. In addition, each of the master photographers are sent to monthly training sessions and seminars taught by some of the world’s finest wedding photojournalists and wedding photographers such as: John Solano, Denis Reggie, Joe Buissink, Mike Colon, and more.

Our Wedding Photography Philosophy
We believe that in hiring a professional wedding photographer, clients deserve a professional that is able to use his or her technological expertise and creative vision to create a product that clients and amateur photographers could not on their own. With digital SLR cameras becoming more and more affordable, there are many amateur photographers out there posing as professionals. Our goal is to educate our clients on the differences and provide artistic imagery that even far surpasses other top knotch wedding photography studios.
Therefore, our wedding photography philosophy has three primary parts as follows:
- Wedding photographers are artists and therefore must have a deep understanding of artistic theory including concepts on composition, lighting, color, design, balance, etc.
- Wedding photographers should be using professional grade camera and lighting equipment.
- Wedding photographers are constantly in unusual lighting situations with significant time constraints, thus wedding photographers must be masters of their equipment. Being able to quickly adjust camera settings, anticipate lenses needed for each scene, use on and off-camera lighting techniques, etc are crucial to being able to consistantly create a professional product.
