How We Approach
Your Wedding Day

This is not a job we show up to. It is a day we prepare for. Before we arrive, we have already studied your timeline, talked through the moments that matter most to you, and positioned ourselves to capture them.

That preparation is what allows us to be fully present rather than figuring things out as we go. In the sections below, learn more about our approach to each part of your wedding day.

Our Unique Approach To

Bride Preparation

Getting ready is rarely just one mood, and we match whatever energy is in the room. Sometimes it is quiet and reflective, a private moment before everything begins. Sometimes it is high energy, music up, champagne open, your whole wedding party celebrating together.

We stay alert for the fly-on-the-wall moments: the laugh you did not know anyone caught, the tears during the first look with your bridesmaids, the expression on your mother's face when she sees you for the first time. Those are the images you will come back to for the rest of your life.

Our Unique Approach To

Groom Preparation & Portraits

The groom's preparation deserves the same attention as the bride's. We start with the details, the cufflinks, the watch, the jacket, the small things that tell the story of the day. Then we let the moment unfold.

The nervous energy, the jokes with the groomsmen, the quiet moment before it all begins. Genuine emotion and genuine fun, documented without interference. If time allows, we capture an individual photo with each groomsman to honor each of those relationships separately.

Our Unique Approach To

The First Look

We scout the venue ahead of time to find a spot that is secluded, has good light, and gives you a genuine moment away from the crowd. We position ourselves at multiple angles before you arrive so we can capture both reactions simultaneously without either of you feeling watched.

The first look is one of the most emotionally charged moments of the day and it deserves to be covered from every angle.

Our Unique Approach To

Couples Portraits

We shoot a mix of the artistic and the traditional, static and movement-based poses, editorial and purely emotional. The goal is a set of images that feels like the two of you rather than a generic portrait session.

We work efficiently so you are never away from your guests longer than necessary, and we know how to get two people who feel awkward in front of a camera to completely forget we are there.

Our Unique Approach To

Ceremony

We cover every angle. Wide shots that capture the scale and setting, medium shots that frame the two of you within the moment, and tight shots that catch the details: your hands, the ring exchange, the involuntary smile you cannot hold back.

We also stay aware of the room. His expression when he sees you. Her parents in the front row. The friend in the third row trying not to cry. The full story of your ceremony is never just what happens at the altar.

Our Unique Approach To

Family and Group Photos

We execute family formals efficiently so they never feel like a chore. Our focus is on genuine expressions and beautiful light rather than stiff lineups.

We keep things moving, keep the energy warm, and mix in a few fun groupings alongside the traditional ones.

Our Unique Approach To

Reception

Receptions are where lighting mastery matters most. From open-air outdoor settings to large ballrooms with challenging mixed light, we know how to work every environment.

We also know that the best reception images are rarely on the dance floor. They are the hug between two old friends near the bar, the grandmother watching the first dance from her seat, the smile your partner gives you from across the room when they catch your eye. We stay alert and we stay moving all night.

Our Unique Approach To

Sneak Out (Night Photo)

This is one of our favorite ways to close the night. After the reception is in full swing, we slip away with the two of you for fifteen to twenty minutes to create something different.

A quieter moment, a creative frame, the venue or the night sky as your backdrop. It is a chance to breathe, reconnect, and walk away with images that look and feel completely unlike anything else from the day. Optional but highly recommended.
